How the Partnership Works
BikeFlip has always welcomed bike donations at their locations, but not everyone has the time or resources to bring in a bike. That’s where Byewaste steps in: now, with a few taps on the Byewaste app, families can schedule a free pickup of old or unused children’s bikes, along with other recyclable items, directly from their homes in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, and more. After collection, the bikes are transported to BikeFlip, where they are expertly refurbished and then offered to other families through BikeFlip’s subscription service. In doing so, we make it effortless for people to donate items that still have a lot of life left in them and to be part of a sustainable, circular solution.
By facilitating free home pickups, our partnership removes barriers that often prevent people from donating larger or harder-to-transport items like bicycles. We’re helping parents save time and enabling them to easily contribute to sustainable practices in their communities.
